Full hook up campsites Laredo USA

Did not hook up to water or use dump facility. Lake is large and known for good fishing. Many sites have a water view. Verizon 4G signal good. On east side of Laredo on Loop near airport. The GPS has us turning left off of the Highway but this was changed due to many accidents.

Not too far up the road is a loop to get back to the entrance. The staff was eager to help when asked. We saw no sign of litter but can imagine this could change during peak season. The park was very laid back during our stay. Sites are far apart. Hook ups were convenient. Our site was a little strange with our door facing the woods and the picnic table was behind the campsite which made it a little difficult to get to. Many sites, like ours, have extra parking nearby. This is a great park in the winter.

This Park is on Loop 20 in Laredo, just down the road from the airport. Pros: There are good, paved chip seal roads and sites. Good lake access for fishing from the bank, including a fishing pier.

RV camping at Lake Casa Blanca - Lake Casa Blanca International State Park

Cons: The Park is hilly, and many sites require extensive leveling. Also, there was lots of trash scattered around - Raccoons had a party every night. You can only turn right north out of the Park, and its difficult to find a good turn-around. However, we would stay again if passing through the area.

State Park in a Fifth Wheel. Lovely park BUT cleanliness of sites almost non-existent. My husband spent an hour picking up trash for an hour in our campsite.

Park Alert…

We had English OTA tv for 2 stations. CBS and Fox. The view of the lake from Site was great.

We camped in aa 36' motor home. We would definitely come here again.

Tip for Other Campers: We were here in off season, not crowded at all. Good over the air TV signal. Water pressure is a little low at 60 psi. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table under shelter. Most of the sites are un-level. This is a large state park. It is the only place to stay in the area. Centrally located.

HOW TO: Hook Up an RV

The staff is friendly but they are under staffed causing LONG lines to enter the park. On Sunday the back up to the enterence of the park was. It was that way for a couple of hours. We've stayed in at least a half dozen TX state parks before and this one was rather disappointing mainly because the sites were full of trash. We picked up a garbage bag full at our site alone! Other than that it was ok. No access to the lake I could see without driving.

Sites differ in size and most look like they would need a lot of leveling although ours was ok. Utilities worked fine. Didn't use the facilities so no comment. Would stay again if we had to stay in the area but hated Laredo because traffic was awful, signage was terrible, the roads were all torn up and it was very difficult to find places to turn around. State Park in a Truck Camper. Not a bad campground if in the Laredo area.

Park Alert…

Roads and sites are paved and well spaced. Cell phones and Verizon wifi worked good. It was quiet here and not many campers this time of the year. Would stay here again. Tip for Other Campers: When you leave the campground you can only turn right, north. If you want to go left you have to turn right and drive up to the airport and make a u-turn.

South of the campground has lots of shopping but looks like the older part of Laredo. North of the campground also has a lot of shopping but looks newer. Asphalt pads. Some sites have lake views and access. Walmart nearby. Nice park.

Exit to park exits to main road traveling north. Requires a U turn a few miles away if needing to head south. Arrived on Sunday afternoon and found it to be a very busy local hangout with cars and trucks and LOUD music riding up and down the roads and into the camping area. Apparently it is OK to ride through the park with enough bass to make RV sides vibrate. Signs point out there is NO picnicking on numbered sites - but it apparently is not enforced as we had groups with no indication of site fees paid move into the area with cars per site, music blaring, people stopping in the street, etc.

This went on until p. I was uneasy just because there were so many people driving in and out of the camping area. I think there needs to be some serious cleaning around the lake and in the sites - ours had beer tops, cigarette butts, and parts of water balloons all over it. Noticed a lot of trash around the shoreline which really makes it look messy.

Potential to be a really nice park with large sites, covered picnic tables, etc. Each site has a covered concrete pad with a picnic table in addition to the fire ring and BBQ grill. Heavy vegetation surrounds each site.
