Thank you for taking the time to comment, however I will have to disagree with you on several accounts. We advertise exactly what you get with the cabins. In our correspondence since you left without letting us remedy your dissatisfaction you told us that you live in a park model sq ft. How could you know that this is what you were renting and then say you did not know what size it was? The loft is what you said, a 'sleeping loft'. The living room couch is Amish made like all the rest of the furniture in the Oaks, of very high quality.

There is someone at the office until 9pm every day and outside security even later , not 6pm. And, when we came to your cabin you refused to come show us the 'problems' but got in your car and left without allowing us to offer any remedy.

Nice selection of amenities on site. Close to shopping and dining. Several different types of activities on site. Sites fairly level and staff escort to the site. This was our first time taking our RV to Destin and we had narrowed our park choices to two before eventually deciding on Camp Gulf over another one down the road.

Positives: Our site - , had a great proximity to the beach and was right across the lane from the bath and laundry house. All hook-ups worked well, staff were friendly and helpful. It was clearly a busy place as Memorial Day weekend was starting but everything was in order and the place never felt "busy".

For a park with so many RV'rs with pets there was little room for them to go and do their thing. Unfortunately there were some campers near us that failed to ever clean up after their pets, not the staffs fault, but an annoyance regardless. Overall a pleasant stay. Will most likely stay there again.

Yes, the Bathrooms are being upgraded. The showers are being tiles and glass doors added the delay for the weekend was the glass as well as many other items. Sorry for the waits. We are nearly done and the rooms will be completed two at a time in the bath building with 10 so waits will be less until completion.

After a general web search we came upon Camp Gulf and were immediately drawn in by their simple yet highly functional website, online reservation system, gallery, etc.

The reviews we read were all equally as encouraging and once we saw the amenities offered on-site 2 pools, 2 gift shops, DVD rental, soft serve ice cream, bathhouse with private bathrooms, an inflatable waterslide, etc all just steps 29 for us from the incredible, sugar white sand the Gulf of Mexico beaches are known for. Our travel trailer is 28' so in order to get all the way back and leave room for our Ford F Crew Cab short bed to park in a T-fashion, mind you we had to remove our Swagman 3-bike rack and literally pull into the sand at the back of the lot.

It was a bit frustrating at first but in retrospect I think it was primarily because we were already being beckoned by the beach and just didn't want to fool with setting up. As we began to unhook and put out our slide and hook things up it all came together. The campground host sent to assist us was friendly and informative we later found out the campground is almost entirely staffed by Workampers and gave us a good "what's what" within our first 10 minutes there. With the campground entrance located right on Highway 98 the two times we chose to leave our drive was fairly simple and direct.

Traffic in Destin on 98 is no laughing matter and turn lanes almost exclusively say "no U-turn" so it is best to know where you are going and set the GPS. Because the campground was so incredible though we didn't feel we needed to leave once we had set up our week's menu and gone on to the grocery store. It should be noted that there is a Wynn-Dixie, a Fresh Market, and a Wal-Mart all within about a 5-mile radius of the campground.

When we reserved our site nearly 4 months ago we had no problem going through the online reservation tool and our confirmation email arrived quickly and correctly.
